Hi David........

I don't know if you've ever attended the Sturgis rally......but I sense tha=
t you have not, based upon what is evidentally your "impression" of what t=
he Rally is about.

>>But sport bikers and Harley types typically don't get along all that >>>=
well. Not in a fighting way, but because "we just don't get it" and >>>the=
y don't like being laughed at.

This will be either my 29th or 30th Rally at Sturgis. The first few years =
I rode my RD350 Yamaha from Denver. Since 1984 I've always ridden my FJ. H=
ave NOT missed a Rally since 1984. Certainly never experienced any kinda di=
scrimination or negative shit. Just hasn't happened. But maybe I've just =
not spent enough time there, eh? Heh, heh......

> >>>idea of a rally is not cruising main street.=20

I hear ya. Mine either. Lottsa attendees do that, but I have no reason to=
. The hill climb, flat track, drags, and short track races are nice. My f=
avorite by far is the flat-track. I LOVE that! Haven't been to the motocr=
osses yet.

I take advantage of the manufacturers being there, offering free test rides=
. My first ride on a Honda Blackbird was via a Honda Corp test ride. So wa=
s my second and third! Same with ZX-14.....and ZX-10. Also rode the FJR a=
few times..tnx to Yamaha Corp. It was via a Yamaha test ride that I decid=
ed that the FZ-1 would NOT replace my FJ. Nor would a ZRX-12 Kaw. I have n=
ot yet test-ridden a Harley or Buell....oh well...... But I did ride a Gol=
d Wing and one of the new BMW thumpers......

Girl watching?? Bare flesh....?? Naaa......you probably wouldn't care for =
that...nudge/nudge...winky/winky......

>> A bunch of us at work formed a bike club with sportbikes and >>>cruisers=
. It only took ONE ride for the two groups to go their >>>separate ways.

I briefly tried something similar. Accent on "briefly".

Sturgis Rally is a giant mix of all and any brands....doing a wide variety =
of things. Everybody is grinning, cuz they are having a Helluva good time.=
You can choose to do whatever is legal that pleases you while there. I s=
tay busy as Hell for 5-6 days, and have yet to have anything occur to me th=
at pissed me off or scared me.

I think lottsa people are depriving themselves of a great motorcycle advent=
ure solely because they are waaay eager to believe all the bullshit that dr=
ifts around regarding the Sturgis Rally. Accent on "bullshit".

A tattoo...? What would I do with a tattoo? Maybe not...... Go to Sturg=
is to smoke cigars and talk dirty? Hell, I can stay home and do that....=
