Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit George, DeLorme makes paper-map atlases of each state...every damned road, including gravel, by geographical section. Very cool. Although I have 2 GPS units (an old Garmin eTrex Legend and an LG 7500, kinda like a TomTom), I still rely on paper maps for navigation. The Garmin serves as a compass more than anything, and I've never really used the LG except to play with it. Call me a Luddite, but I have no need or use for Bluetooth, MP3 capability, etc. The GPS is used strictly as a YOU ARE HERE device. I sometimes see a side road and wonder where it goes. But I hate the feeling of not knowing where I'm at (or where I'm heading) so I generally just ride on by the road with the plan of looking it up on a map later. Of course after I get home from my ride I can never remember what road it was that I wanted to look up. I'd also love to be able to sit here at my computer and plan out my whole ride in advance. Then on the day of the ride the GPS could do all the thinking and I could just enjoy the new roads. ;o) George '90 FJ1200 --y6HCRYdzBxgsArfYHVowkvjN0KNKfqz7E9Ecdca Content-Type: text/html; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> <html> <head> </head> <body style="background-color: #fff;"> <span style="display:none"> </span> <!--~-|**|PrettyHtmlStartT|**|-~--> <div id="ygrp-mlmsg" style="position:relative;"> <div id="ygrp-msg" style="z-index: 1;"> <!--~-|**|PrettyHtmlEndT|**|-~--> <div id="ygrp-text" > <p>George,<br> <br> DeLorme makes paper-map atlases of each state...every damned road, including<br> gravel, by geographical section.
